| Alejandro Albornoz aka "Mankacen" (1971, Santiago de Chile). |
|
| Alejandro studied Visual Arts Pedagogy (1989-1992), at the Metropolitan University of Education's Sciences at Santiago. At 2000 he obtains the Professional Photographer degree at the Art Photo School of Chile, and the Fine Art Photographer diploma gived by the Free Lance Photographers Association of U.S.A. Today he develops academic activity on photography and audiovisuals at Santiago. |

| Since 1987 has written popular electronic music (techno, ambient) and experimental electronics. In Chile he had composed music for dance, theatre, movies and multimedia shows, in variously styles and forms. |
|
He links to electroacoustic music first like listener and promoter thereby his columnist work in the www.suburbia.cl e-zine and after by participating in several workshops, conferences and courses (workshop with Johannes Göbel at the Göethe Institut of Santiago on 2000, Music and Image integration seminary by Roberto García (electroacoustic composer) and Andrés Jurado (audiovisualist), at the National University of Colombia in the Manizales auditorium on 2003, workshop "Electroacoustic music spatialization" by the Chilean composer Federico Schumacher on the IV Festival of Electroacoustic Music in Santiago "Ai-maako" 2004, "Mixed composition by computer"

| Finally, he has composed some acousmatic pieces that link him to the CECh (Electroacoustic Community of Chile). Between 2004 and 2005 he had study electroacoustic composition with Rodrigo Sigal and Federico Schumacher at Santiago. |

| Estudió entre los años 1989-1992, en la Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación, la carrera de Pedagogía en Artes Plásticas y luego entre 1996-1998, en la Escuela de Foto Arte de Chile, Fotografía Profesional, egresando y recibiendo este título más el de Fine Art Photographer otorgado por la Free Lance Photographers Association de EE.UU. Actualmente desarrolla labor docente en fotografía y audiovisual en Santiago. |

| Desde 1987 realiza música electrónica popular (techno, ambient). A la fecha ha compuesto música para teatro, danza, cine y montajes multimediales, abarcando diversas formas estilísticas dentro de la electrónica. |
|
| Se vincula con la electroacústica primero como auditor y difusor a través de su labor como columnista en varios e-zines y luego al participar en diversos talleres, workshops y charlas. Ha compuesto algunas piezas acusmáticas que le han llevado a vincularse con la CECh. Ha estudiado composición electroacústica con Rodrigo Sigal y Federico Schumacher en Santiago. |

| Su música se ha programado en conciertos en Chile, Colombia, Argentina, China, España, Francia, Portugal y Suiza, participando en prestigiosos festivales como "Synthèse" (Bourges, 2006), las JIEM (Jornadas de Informática & Electrónica Musical, Madrid, 2006) y Sonoimágenes (Buenos Aires, 2005-2006). Ha realizado conferencias sobre Electroacústica chilena en Colombia, Argentina, España y Portugal, y sobre la vinculación de música y vídeo arte en Valparaíso y Concepción (Chile). |
